The Planned Giving Council of Miami-Dade County is a not-for-profit corporation established to provide training, education, information and other benefits to facilitate the professionalism and success of persons giving advice regarding the use of charitable planned giving for the ultimate benefit of the community.
Our Mission is to:
Provide opportunities for members and other participants to increase and improve their skills and knowledge regarding charitable planned giving through regular meetings seminars and other programs.
Cooperate and support joint meetings with organizations and professional groups in related fields.
Foster networking between professionals in related fields and charitable institutions, through meetings, programs and written communications.
Membership in the Planned Giving Council of Miami-Dade County includes any person who shows a significant interest in charitable planned giving and belongs to one of the following professional categories:
Development Officers or representatives working for any group which qualifies as a tax-exempt organization under the Internal Revenue Code 501 (c) (3), and maintains this status annually
Financial planners licensed as Certified Financial Planners (CFP) or Chartered Financial Consultants (ChFC)
Consultants to any group, which qualifies as a tax-exempt organization under the Internal Revenue Code 501 (c) (3), and maintains this status annually
Members of the Florida Bar Members of the Florida Accountants Association or American Institute of Certified Public Accountants
Trust Officers or other representatives of financial institutions maintaining trust departments in the State of Florida
Life insurance agents who are members of the National Association of Life Underwriters and licensed in the State of Florida
Securities representatives licensed with the New York Stock Exchange and licensed in the State of Florida
